The main difference is in the way the main screen looks. The buttons are put on either end of the screen and have keyboard equivalent keystrokes to simulate the mouse being clicked on them. The keyboard equivalent keystrokes are shown to the right of the command, in the button (ex: Pinch=2 means press button '2' on your keyboard to execute that function). To know what team is at bat see the 'AB:' string to the left on the team names on the scoreboard. On the playing field there are 9 buttons for the fields which give info on whos playing where and what they stats are. When click on, a small screen shows up displaying the information until a click is done within the screen. Also there are 4 baserunner buttons on the field. If they are active then there is somebody on that base. Click on them to get stat info on that player. The lineup and current batter data is on the right side of the screen.
The Menu options: Current Stats will show the stats for all the players in the game being currently played. Total Stats will read the Total Stats file and show information for each player in each team that as each team is picked from a selection list. Total Stat Leaders will ask for a category (such as Home Runs) and then will go through the Total Stats file and but in ascending or descending order that stat leaders (or losers). The order in which the sort is made will be presented to the user; therefore you can see the best and the worst of each stat. Players must have played at least 1 game to make the list. Sound will turn the sound ON or OFF (check in front indicates the option is on). When the sound is off the menu will blick 10 times very quickly to indicate when a sound would usually be heard. Graphics will turn ON or OFF the simple graphics I have added (and will speed up play). Name Tags will turn ON or OFF the name tags which are placed next to baserunners and the batter (when they are not moving). Autoplay? turns ON autoplay. Autoplay simulate the clicking in of the Pitch and Hit buttons on the screen until the end of the game. To stop this option hold in the mouse button until control returns to yourself. You MUST HOLD IN mouse button. Usually control returns by the time the next batter comes up. Help is not in affect yet (and may never be). Quit asks if you want to quit the game or not.
At the end of the game you will be asked whether or not to save the current game stats in the Total Stats file. Click on Okay to do so and the stats will be accumulated by team/player. If the current team does not exist you will be asked if you want to add that team to the file.
For the Future:
Better and more graphics, better sound, maybe I'll try digitized sound, more realism, smaller code size, etc....................
